Let me make this simple: 1) People have been fired - our economy & governmental services have been interrupted because of the firings. 2) The proposed budget includes - cuts to federal worker’s benefits, cuts to Medicaid, cuts to food assistance, & deep tax cuts for the RICH, 3) an average ICE BONUS of ~$44k (BONUS 🤯) 4) And will there be a tax on tips? YES! AND HERE IS THE KICKER, we still would need to raise the debt ceiling 5 trillion dollars! AFTER all the pain being inflicted on the 99 percenters. it still isn’t enough to pay for the TAX CUTS for the rich!

In my recent graduation address to students at @Tougaloo_1869, I stated that I’m older than: Medgar Evers, MLK, & Malcom X were when they were assassinated. I am a few years younger than @BarackObama was when he was elected President. I told those young people that their time was now… but I know that many will tell them it is not. it is clear that each of the above-mentioned people did NOT wait their turn & simply did what needed to be done— that’s leadership.
