I was always angry, and I had a huge hole in my heart. Nothing made me happy. Then I got married to a God-fearing woman, and at home she would read the Bible every morning. After a while she said, "do you want me to read aloud to you?" So I sat down, and she started reading the Bible aloud to me, every morning. Eventually I said, "Well, let me read it," and so I started to read it aloud to her. And then it was like the Lord said to me "Chuck, it's time to come home. It's been long enough." And now my heart is filled up again.' ☩ Chuck Norris 1940-2026

Chuck Norris has gone to be with the Lord. And to say Chuck was a legend is the understatement of the century. Chuck was a world karate champion who transitioned into acting and became one of the most recognizable faces on the planet. He sparred with Bruce Lee. He trained other actors, including the great Steve McQueen. He went on to become a full-blown cultural phenomenon — the subject of thousands of internet “Chuck Norris facts” that made an entire generation laugh. But here’s what I loved most about Chuck: the man behind the legend was always quick to point beyond himself. He never let the fame become the point. He said it best himself: “Real men do live for Christ. It is important to make your peace with Christ while the opportunity exists. Life is so fragile that you never know when it’s going to be over.” On a personal note, Chuck was gracious enough to endorse the spiritual biography I wrote about his friend Steve McQueen. That meant a lot to me. I had the privilege of meeting him once years ago— and yes, I absolutely made sure we got a photo together. I mean, come on. It’s Chuck Norris. He was a warrior in every sense of the word — and now he’s home. He will be greatly missed.

If you think Pharaoh was the real enemy at the Red Sea, you’re reading the story too quickly. Most of us look at the Red Sea story like it’s a victory lap; God opens the water, Pharaoh’s army gets wiped out, and Israel walks away free. We treat it like the "happily ever after" moment of the Bible. But if you actually look at the Scripture, something far worse hunted the Israelites than Pharoh’s pursuit. In Exodus 14, as soon as they see the dust from the Egyptian chariots, they start losing it. They weren’t just panicking; they literally ask Moses, "Was it because there weren't enough graves in Egypt that you brought us here to die?" They actually told him it would have been "better" to stay as slaves. Keep in mind, these people just saw ten plagues. They saw the Nile turn to blood. They watched the land go dark. But the second things got tight, fear deleted their memory of the miracles. And we do the exact same thing. How fast do you start romanticizing your past when your current situation gets uncomfortable? How quickly do you start missing the things God actually rescued you from, just because the future feels a bit blurry? Even the miracle itself wasn't instant. Exodus 14 says God drove the sea back with a strong wind "all night." It was a slow, step-by-step walk. It wasn't a magic trick; it was a process. But look at what happens just one chapter later in Exodus 16. They start complaining about food. They start talking about how they "sat by the meat pots" and had plenty of bread in Egypt. That’s a lie. They were in forced labor. They weren't enjoying a buffet; they were being worked to death. But anxiety is a hell of an editor. It makes you remember the "comforts" of your old life while completely cropping out the chains that kept you there. Then you get to Exodus 32. Moses is up on the mountain for forty days. No updates, or any signal he’s coming down soon. So the people go to Aaron and say, "Make us gods who will go before us." They didn't stop believing in God you know, They just couldn't handle not seeing Him. Egypt had trained them to only trust what they could touch. So when God didn't move on their timeline, they went back to what felt familiar. That’s the real issue here. They were out of Egypt, but Egypt was still in their heads. They were physically free, but they were still using a slave’s toolkit to handle fear and delay. So, when things stall in your life, what do you start building? When you don't get the answer you wanted, what "golden calf" do you reach for? Is it a drink? Is it an old relationship? Is it just a desperate need to control everything around you? The real threat wasn't the Egyptian army behind them. It was the urge to run back to what was predictable. The beauty of this story isn't just the parting of the sea. It’s that God didn't walk away when they started acting out. He kept sending the manna and kept showing up for them. He didn't just pull them out of a country; He stayed with them while He pulled the "slave-thinking" out of their hearts. Leaving your past is a one-time event. But learning how to be free? That takes time. Be honest with yourself; What part of your "Egypt" are you still defending? Are you rewriting your history because you’re scared of the unknown? If God took away every problem you have right now, would you still be a slave on the inside? #Christianity #BiblicalTruth #FaithOverFeelings #Exodus #Deliverance Ellis Enobun

There are moments in life when words just aren’t enough. Losing Coach Holtz is one of those moments. Coach was so much more than a football coach to me. He was family. I still remember the day he came to my house to recruit me. He didn’t just sit down and talk to me about football or what I could do on the field. He talked to me as a young man. And he spoke to my mom the way a man should speak to a mother who was trusting someone with her son. He looked her in the eye and promised that I would be taken care of at Notre Dame. That moment meant everything to us, and it’s something I’ve carried with me my entire life. Coach Holtz believed in people. He believed in building men, not just players. He welcomed my entire family into the Notre Dame family and always made sure we felt that love and support. That’s who he was. He cared deeply about the people around him, and he made every one of us feel like we mattered. The lessons he taught me went far beyond football. His faith, his discipline, his belief in doing things the right way shaped who I became as a man, a father, and a leader. My heart is broken today, but I’m also filled with gratitude for the time I had with him and for the impact he had on my life. Coach will always be with us—in the lessons he taught, in the lives he changed, and in the love he gave so freely. Thank you for everything, Coach. I love you. You will forever be in our hearts. Go Irish ☘️

This is Pure Gold. I had the pleasure of spending time with Coach Holtz. I wanted to hear him explain his Three Rules for Life! 1) Do what’s right - trust. 2) Do everything to the best of your ability- commitment. 3) Show people you care - love. It’s pretty simple. He goes on to highlight why the transfer portal is ruining college football. The kids are losing out on the life lessons learned- how to persevere, how to be committed to a program and a group of people. You miss out on the bonds you create over 4 years. If you leave, you still have the problem, you are changing the address. These are words to live by.
