I love when coaches talk about strength of schedule. A difficult schedule doesn't matter if u don't win games. SOS is all about subjectivity & inconsistency. It is not an exact science. Different metrics produce different rankings. Control what u can control. Just win games!

There's some positives that come from players being friends, but imo this is ridiculous from LBJ. Whats the end goal? Have friends or win at any cost, the greats win no matter what it takes. Sorry LBJ, this is a bad look

@Sect2BoysHoopNY I agree on the addition of AAA. Imo it has watered down each classification and has lead to less dramatic brackets as they are so small now. However, there is no correct answer. No matter what they do someone is upset.

3. Still hate the addition of the AAA classification. Winning 2-3 games is a holiday tournament, not a sectional title. 4. Section 2 has a realistic chance at two, maybe three, state titles.

Now that Sectionals are complete, a few observations and opinions: 🧵 1. HS basketball is a coaches’ game. Teams that advanced were the most prepared, best coached teams. 2. What a year for public schools! Private schools were limited to Loudonville Christian’s Class D title.

Shen faltering was the surprise of the day. High school hoops is, and will always be, a coaches’ game so kudos to Greg Davis. That said, top seeds waiting over 2 weeks to play a game, regardless of result, is STUPID! No reason to wait so long.
