I'd expect Kyler Murray to start at QB for the Vikings. That's a good add for them, seeing they went 9-8 with inconsistent QB play this past season.
Their DL won't be as good next year, especially if they trade Jonathan Greenard. But Minnesota should compete in the NFC North.

Now that Kwesi is gone, I wonder if the Wilf’s regret not hiring Ryan Poles.
If I recall, the reason for not hiring him was due to his philosophy of wanting to tear it all down.
But looking at the state of both teams, it’s hard not to think Poles’ approach might’ve been best.

Let me explain why it’s better to hire an OFFENSIVE minded Head Coach in today’s NFL:
1. If you hire a defensive-minded head coach or ‘Leader of Men,’ if your offensive coordinator is good you will LOSE them
2. Example: You have Todd Bowles as head coach and lose Liam Coen to the Jaguars
3. Question: Will the Seahawks be this good when they LOSE Klint Kubiak? He’ll eventually be a Head Coach elsewhere
4. Bears lost Ben Johnson, Eagles lost Kellen Moore, Eagles lost Shane Steichen, Bucs lost Dave Canales, Bills were gonna lose Joe Brady unless they made him Head Coach
5. You also want your Head Coach working sharply and directly with your Franchise Quarterback, defensive-minded coaches don’t typically work for this dynamic

The perception that Brad Holmes and the Lions front office rely only on the NFL Draft for player acquisition is more misconception than reality. Over the past three offseasons, the Lions have committed $134M in total guarantees to free agent signings, ranking 22nd in the NFL — directly behind, and within KC, BUF, PHI, and SF (the 18th–21st-ranked teams), and ahead of LAR, TB, GB, and BAL. Many of the other teams above them are not contenders and haven’t allocated those dollars efficiently. Holmes has also been relatively active via trade — acquiring Carlton Davis III and, at the deadline, Za’Darius Smith — showing a calculated balance across multiple avenues of roster building while still finding strong success through the draft.

I would have loved McDaniel, but it’s at least a little telling in a year with 10 HC openings that he wasn’t a favorite or seriously in the mix for any of them. His offense also ranked 25th last year.
I’m not sure it’s such a given the 31 teams that didn’t hire him are all dumb.
