Christian Anderson Jr as the backup PG with NBA talent around him actually won't be that bad. He is already showing good defense and playmaking. Now add that with talent beside him I think he will be fine. Hard to be a PG with players who are terrible and a coach not running any offense.

@truzzbuzz As far as his shot , it’s a make or miss league we’ve seen Kon go through rough stretches shooting wise and he just had a historic season . I think they’ll start to fall. Now i do hope he can grow an inch or 2 but im ok with him now

@truzzbuzz While i do think he needs to tighten his handle , i don’t really see anything to cause concern. Those games with sion pretty much had him playing out of position. Even so he made good reads and passes , this summer league roster just sucks and they didn’t finish a lot

PG is the hardest position to adjust to so my concern has nothing to do with bad games. In Summer League, I expect players to really just do what they are good at. Nothing more, nothing less. So him struggling to shoot and (up until last night) struggling to facilitate worried me. It’s just going to really hard for him to generate those shots he had in college because of his handles and need for a screen. I do see it though. He’s more than skilled enough for me to believe he can develop so I don’t feel the way about him as I felt about Tidjane when he was drafted. When he got to be the clear PG, the playmaking was much better and his ability to read the defense was impressive. Also his defense was a pleasant surprise. So I’m going give him grace of course, but it’s just been a rough watch

Saw some good things from USC Unleashed 2030 Treyvon Smith in a game and a half today. Gifted with excellent size for his age, TJ is most impactful right now with soft touch around the rim and in the post. One of the state’s elite rising freshman.
