The issue with Parish is that there are two ways of judging his success as an owner, which is why the fanbase is so divided. 1. You look at his entire tenure and the ‘bigger picture’. It’s been a major success. 14+ years in the PL, FA Cup, community shield and Europe. By the end of it, new academy and eventually redeveloped stadium. The most successful period in the club’s history. History will remember him kindly. 2. You look at the club, day to day, week to week, season to season, and it’s a fucking shambles. Empty promises, ‘what ifs’, ‘what could’ve beens’. We could’ve very easily lost the cup final in May, and among the heartbreak we’d have gone back and said how the fuck did that team only finish 12th? We all know how. When was the last time we finished a season and you thought you know what, we backed the manager and we really did as well as we could’ve done? I don’t spend thousands following my football club and investing so much time and energy into it to think about how sustainably it’s run. I go every week. I think about it every day. He’s great at point 1, but he’s never ever fucking got point 2, and he never will.

@GilesyL14 @holmesdale_road We’ve lost people for less and kicked on every time. (zaha, cabaye, sakho, etc…) Next manager is the most important hire. Matt Hobbs has an important job. The academy is soon to show its positives. Look at Casey and Drakes-Thomas and the two defenders.

I've no anger towards Glasner. Throughout his tenure, the club have never matched his ambition. Every window has never been good enough. I don't blame him for wanting out. & IMO, we'll live to regret it. Our greatest ever manager & gave us a day we could have only dreamt of #cpfc
