@JeremyHreben @_coachrachel Last year I watched a recruit catch an easy pop up in the OF, that’s the only ball hit to her. I watched two at bats, she popped up to the SS and walked. She was rounding 2nd base when the SS caught the ball. That’s the energy we look for. Shes an All-Conference player for us.

@CoachStocktonJC @_coachrachel What happens if a kid gets no balls on defense and walks at the plate? Do you stay longer? I’m sure there intangibles that can be witnessed regardless.

Looking at Video of Tryout Kids… I can tell your strengths & weaknesses in 15 seconds of clips… And so can the college coaches.

@JeremyHreben @_coachrachel Yes I’ll stay longer depending on time. I can tell from their mechanics if they have a solid swing. I also watch during their warmups. If they use that time to get extra reps instead of just going through the motions, then I know they all about it 😎.
