@CoachHPrice And an awful one at that! Forcing his way into that job to make the team worse has to be one of the top 3 worst coaching hires in NBA history!
Building the perfect coach.

What Coach Scheyer looks for in a recruit or portal player that doesn’t show up on film:
Mental toughness
The ability to have an off night and still impact the game in other ways. How do you affect winning when the ball isn’t in your hands? How do you respond to adversity? Even something like changing schools multiple times raises questions because resilience matters.
Love for the game
Do they truly love basketball? Because if you love it, you’ll work, you’ll grow, and you’ll fight through the tough stretches. Duke needs guys who embrace the grind. If you’re not going to put in the extra effort, it’s hard to succeed here.
For Coach Scheyer these two traits are every bit as important as skill, athleticism, and physical tools.

Tonight I had the pleasure of being a guest speaker for the Freeburg basketball program.
Thanks Dakota Street for having me.
I’m stepping into more speaking opportunities this year and it’s a lot of fun. The primary message I’m delivering is the importance of every single player and coach being all in on caring about the team in terms of work ethic and selflessness.
Talent doesn’t matter if you’re not bought in.
If you’re interested in having me come out to talk to a group of players or coaches I’d love to do that.
I’m blessed to announce that I am officially committed to play basketball at Rend Lake College. I want to thank my coaches, parents, and friends for always believing in me. None of this would be possible without God. I’m excited to start this new chapter. Let’s go Warriors 🪶🔴⚫️
