Everybody wants honesty from coaches until honesty doesn’t sound like praise

Say it with me now. A coach holding you to a standard is not being mean.

They’ve written you off 1. They said you’re cooked 1. They said you can’t hit lefty 1. They said ATL needs to replace you 1. Go prove them wrong, 1!

Underrated coaching truth: The best coaches aren’t obsessed with talent. They’re obsessed with effort. With attitude. With toughness. That’s what wins when it gets hard.

Loyal assistant coaches matter more than most people realize. They support the vision. They protect the culture. They tell you the truth. Great programs aren’t built by one coach. They’re built by a loyal staff that pulls in the same direction.

i am so protective over this current version of me. it took a lot of mental, emotional, and spiritual work for me to get to this stage. so if i come off as if i'm too good for certain people, situations, events, conversations, whatever…it's because at this point in my life i am.
