Because it's not just about last season. Duh. Tua's led the lead in TD%, passing yards and comp % in his career. Last year was clearly the outlier in a failed campaign all around by the entire Dolphins organization. Tua's got a track record of high-level performance. I swear you guys only watched last szn.

I think it's easy to have revisionist history on Darnold. He was a bridge QB who had his worst two games of the season in the two most important games of their season. They had to go to JJ who they drafted...but JJ might be awful which is the biggest issue moving forward

There are roughly 275,000 high school senior football players in the U.S. each year.
There are ONLY 32 five-stars in each class. That’s it.
So the odds of becoming a five-star are roughly 1 in 8,600 per class.
And historically, five-stars have a ~65% NFL Draft rate.
Some people act like Rivals (and this industry) hands out five-stars like mini Milky Ways on Halloween, not even close.
We give out 32. Period. It's finite. They are earned.
Nobody in our industry cares which player or which team gets them. We care that the hit rate stays elite.
And trust us … nobody loved a five-star more than Nick Saban. And he is the greatest college football coach ever.
It’s a privilege to earn a five-star. It’s been that way for 30 years, and it will be for the next 30.

Just spoke with a 27-year-old single woman in NYC who went on a date last night with a late-40s finance guy.
The guy is using ChatGPT on his phone throughout their meal (e.g. asking about the history of their cocktails, and reading the responses out loud to her).
Toward the end of night, she playfully calls him out for being obsessed with ChatGPT.
