Coach Beckmann

A coach is nothing without players and a great staff. I took the helm in mid-July and told the team it was going to take some serious WORK to #FlipTheProgram & accomplish everything we wanted. We never stepped on the court as the biggest team. Rarely as the vastly more talented team. Never had anything given to us; we had to go earn it all. I told the players it was all about them … We would win as many games as they chose to. We’d win a Conference Championship if they chose to. In my role as Head Coach, I simply laid out a blueprint that would work with these players’ skill sets to maximize their individual potentials & maximize what we could be collectively. They embraced that style & we finished NATIONALLY #1 in forced turnovers, #1 in steals, & #10 in assists. 20 wins including a 13-game winning streak. A Conference title 🏆 and a Regional Tournament win. I also told them if I won Coach of the Year … it was because they chose to embrace the team and each other, our collective success, and go win it for me. It’s their award 🏆 Thank you to every player on the squad this year from start to finish … Bella, Ray, MeMe, Simone, Mariah, Carson, Ez, Ilke, Kali, Jiff, Trin, Alleyah, Caitlyn, Emersyn, Ariah, Jamiya, & Autumn.
