BREAKING: Cecil Shorts III has been hired as the Head Football Coach at Houston Christian High School. A graduate of Mount Union, the former NFL wide receiver was selected in the 2011 NFL Draft by the Jaguars and spent six seasons in the NFL with the Jaguars, Buccaneers, and the Texans. No stranger to the TXPS arena, Shorts served as the Dean of Students and assistant football coach at The Second Baptist School from 2021-2025, before serving as assistant football coach, softball coach, and Business Instructor at Lamar High School.
