So interesting that she is anti-DEI now, but when she served as president of her company, she promoted it “as a female-owned professional employer organization.”
Guess only certain types of diversity are now problematic. 🤷🏾♂️

The fact that a speech had to be canceled for credible safety threats is exactly why we cannot give up the fight to end indoctrination and DEI on campuses once and for all. The root problem is professors who gin up feigned outrage at the detriment of their students, who they should be teaching to think critically. End tenure now!

Graduation is not a political rally. It is the students’ day, earned through years of sacrifice, perseverance, and dedication. The students of SC State have every right to be heard about who stands at their podium on one of the most important days of their lives. It bothers me that the Lieutenant Governor, who still wants to appear at commencement, chose to respond to concerned HBCU students by calling them a ‘woke mob.’ These are scholars. These are the sons and daughters of South Carolina. They deserve respect, not a campaign talking point. The students have a right to voice their concerns and I stand with them. And While she has a right to respond, I hope someone who wants to be governor wouldn’t respond with name calling, but with creating a dialog for our state’s future leaders.

SC State students thoughtfully expressed concerns to Pres. Alexander, who’s administration failed them here.
No one who vows to target the Black community via “DEI scams” should give a commencement address at an HBCU.
They worked hard and deserve to celebrate.
