Most importantly, they aren’t afraid to fail at full speed. Talent gets you noticed. BUT coaches aren’t just evaluating talent—they’re evaluating who they’ll get to coach every day. The athletes who separate themselves are the ones who make coaches want to coach them daily‼️

The athletes who stand out aren’t always the most talented. They are best at the small things‼️ Their effort Their energy Their attention to detail Their communication They sprint between reps They listen the first time They encourage teammates They compete with purpose

Nobody asks me to evaluate athletes at recruiting camps. I’m just the strength coach who is there to run the warm-up and maybe do some combine testing. But after spending years watching camps across multiple sports, I’ve noticed something:
