We need to honor it as such! 🚫 Fighting & Serious Foul Play Protect player safety. Compete hard, but never cross the line into dangerous or retaliatory actions that put others at risk. 🚫 Foul & Abusive Language Respect officials, opponents, teammates, and the game. Words matter and abusive language has no place in high school athletics. 🚫 Leaving the Bench Maintain sideline discipline. Players and staff must remain in their team areas during altercations to prevent escalation and ensure safety. 🚫 Coach Cautions & Ejections Model composure and leadership. Coaches set the tone for their teams. Self-control and professionalism elevate the entire program. When we focus on Respect for Others, Control of Self, and the Spirit of Competition, we strengthen the game for every athlete, coach, and official who steps on the field. When we commit to these standards, we protect the game, develop leaders, and represent Texas the right way. People today are afraid to start because they're afraid to "fail". • It means taking risks. • It means trying new things. 5 Things to Know About Fear of Failure: 1. Failure Isn't Permanent - Failure isn’t a sign of weakness, it’s a sign of bravery. Setbacks are temporary. Challenges are temporary. Reframe the language and perception around challenges or "failures". Remember, that this moment isn't permanent and it doesn't define you. 2. Resilience is a Choice - Resilience isn't about avoiding challenges. It's about choosing to face that adversity and bounce forward. By deciding to bounce back and bounce forward, you're building the strength needed for future successes. It’s the process of bouncing forward in life with adaptability, grit, and toughness. 3. Where you are today, isn't where you will be - Growth only happens when you learn from your mistakes and make it a habit. A growth mindset starts with the belief that your abilities and intelligence can be developed through hard work, dedication, and perseverance. View it as a step towards success rather than a permanent setback. 4. Think Feedback, not "Failure" - "Failure" is not the end but an opportunity for learning and growth. View every critique and setback as feedback, not failure. This shift in perspective can transform your approach and enabled that growth-mindset to focus on the journey rather than the outcome. 5. Eliminate The Noise - Nothing happens without focus. Clear out the distractions and focus on what matters to you. By staying focused, you are able to channel your energy and resources towards our goals and make progress towards them. Define your goals, set your standards, and don’t let anyone dictate your limits.
