🚨 WE'RE RECRUITING 🚨 Since the launch of our cobblemon server & extended competitive league we've seen a very successful influx of players. We're now looking to expand & cater to our new found interest. We'll be looking for people to help out with both the server & our cobblemon league. LOOKING FOR: - Builders (to assist building towns, gyms, railroads, roads, shops, arenas, everything we have planned & more) - Story & Quest writers (planning for longevity) - Playtesters - Referees (tournament related) - Casters (tournament related) - Moderators, Helpers & Admins - Anyone with extensive Minecraft / Create / modpack building experience Requirements: - 🇬🇧 English speaking (doesn't have to be fluent, just enough to communicate) - For ANYTHING tournament related an actual interest in Pokémon & good knowledge is essential Anyone with interest is welcome to apply if they want to learn also! LP COBBLEMON SERVER & LP POKÉ LEAGUE FAQ Q1) is the server currently running? A1: yes. Q2) how do i join the server? A2: go to cobblemon.lostpuppies.org, scroll to the bottom & download 1 of 3 versions. in each of these versions the server is already added so you can freely join - if there are any issues the server IP is also on the website. Q3) it's not working, why do i keep crashing? A3: 2 important reasons. firstly, make sure you allocate sufficient RAM before launching. secondly, DO NOT UPDATE ANYTHING IN THE MODPACK. it is a meticulously crafted modpack made custom entirely by us, updating certain versions will break it. Q4) how do i get my pokémon when i join? A4: press c to select your first pokémon Q5) what is there to do? A5: ontop of the initial pokémon / cobblemon experience we have built our own custom structures, we're currently making a full storied questline entirely custom by talking to NPCs as if you would in e.g. skyrim. we have mods which elevate the 4 core principles of minecraft: building, fighting, farming & mining whilst putting our own touch on the pokémon / cobblemon side. competitively we also have our own vision of creating our own rules & adjustments but we'll be using VGC as a starting point. each season will have different rules so things do not get stale & a prizepool! making this the first cobblemon esport. Q6) what is the point of this? A6: open world pokémon with a clear reason to play. the first of it's kind. combining all of these mods together we've managed to cultivate a unique experience you will not get anywhere else, our dedication to making things ourselves in a custom manner also means we have creative control over the direction of the game & the server. WE HAVE BIG PLANS! Q7) how many people are playing? A7: with our soft-launch (literally just this tweet) we currently have 40+ new active players in the last 2 days which now takes our total to around 50-60. Q8) why should i join this rather than other servers? A8: we care. we have a clear plan on what we want to achieve & what experience we want to create. we're not thinking about 1 thing, we have a vision for both casual & competitive players, people who love minecraft & people who love pokémon. there isn't anything better. Q9) who runs the server? A9: the server is ran by an assortment of managerial staff at @Lost_Puppies Q10) will there be a system to support the server? A10: yes. on our website you can buy VIP to help support the server & make this a self-sustainable project, especially with our vision of where we want to take it. currently they do not work but over the next 2-3 weeks we'll be rolling this out with a clear outline of what you'll get for supporting the server. DESPITE having this, we also want to encourage this to be a free-to-play game. grinding will be rewarded but not expected. we want to ensure that anyone can reach the very top, not just if you pay for it. they payment systems are only there for self-sustainability as a moment of gratitude but will have cool features, perks & rewards that a normal player doesn't. also, we currently we have feedback & help sections in our discord. we will also have moderator applications available at some stage over the next month. we're working hard on something we would genuinely want to play with everyone in mind. a real community-centric feeling to a server that has been missing for so long. a server with actual purpose & creative vision which won't become stale after 3 days. this is something which is built to last. we're open to feedback so feel free to let us know what you want! @Coach_Leafx @JhoPato_ DOWNLOAD & JOIN US TODAY!
