It's one of one. Doesn't mean the wrestlers at the Worlds or Olympics aren't more skilled, just that folkstyle wrestling over 3 days in this atmosphere at the highest level at the end of the season is something that provides a challenge unlike anything else in the world. ❤️💪

There is nothing like the NCAA tournament. Worlds is cool, the Olympics is cool, but NCAAs is DIFFERENT. I truly believe some of the best foreigners in the world couldn’t handle the NCAA tournament.

Cal Baptist cutting the program, then trying to enforce a uniform rule? Unreal man. Horrible leadership and the university should be ashamed. Hate that the wrestlers were put into an impossible position.

I heard from those close to the situation that @calbaptist went back on their word and are now taking away the athletes right to have a voice.
Allegedly the AD made all the athletes sign a paper saying if they wear shirts promoting keeping wrestling in any way, that they would be removed from the team.
And- If they did not sign the paper they would be removed.
Also threatening to travel to BiG 12 to enforce— saying they do not care if athletes are uncomfortable by them in possiblly their final competition.

Arizona State has announced that the legendary Coach Bobby Douglas has passed away. Douglas coached Arizona State to a team National Championship in 1988 & was also Cael Sanderson's coach when he won Olympic Gold in 2004. On the mat, Bobby Douglas was a 2x Olympian (1964, 1968) and 2x World Medalist (Silver in 1966 and Bronze in 1977). RIP to a legend in the sport; he will be missed.
