I want to say to all of the Charlies of the world who are erroneously, yet “declaratively,” conveying that my father’s influence and the way he is honored are unwarranted: I’m clear on why you do it. It’s the same reason now that it was then. It’s the reason that led the government to assassinate him. It’s a desire to make the ideology of white supremacy, inclusive of economic disparity and militarism to protect unrighteousness empire, a consistent and persistent implementation. Daddy stood against that, envisioned the eradication of racism, militarism and poverty, and was working on his vision becoming a reality.
