@Coach_TeeRob @shegone03 All things considered, I’ll push my chips in on all the pitchers in the Hall Of Fame that weren’t “kickers” - but rather, used their legs and momentum and pitched deep into games and rarely had arm issues.

@3nOUT36 @shegone03 The “kick” is not a forced move. It’s a byproduct and a sign of recoiling well. Recoiling is the body’s natural way to dissipate all the energy created down the mound. High level hitters recoil too on every swing.

@rdesai711 @Reds Nowhere. But I have been studying and teaching pitchers for 4 years now. “recoil” is the body’s natural and safe way to dissipate energy. Not just in pitching, hitters do the same thing in a different way every swing. As long as it’s not crazy violent, it’s perfectly fine.
