Coaching is a tough job. The pressure, the long hours, the emotional ups and downs; it’s not easy. But success isn’t just about wins and losses. If these 10 things are true, you’re making a big impact: 1. Your players show up. They may not say it, but they believe in what you’re building. 2. Your team is improving. Maybe it’s slow, but progress is happening. 3. Your athletes respect you. Even if they don’t always agree, they listen and trust you. 4. You hold them accountable. Tough love is real leadership. 5. You care beyond the game. You’re coaching people, not just players. 6. They play hard. Effort reflects culture, and they’re all in. 7. You keep growing. Great coaches never stop learning. 8. You show up daily. Consistency is a mark of leadership. 9. They come back. When former players reach out, that means something. 10. You still love it. Not every moment, but deep down, you wouldn’t trade it. Forget the scoreboard for a second. If these things are true, you’re coaching the right way. Keep leading. Keep impacting lives
