I’m so honored and thankful to have been named to the inaugural @TaylorCollectiv Texas 50 list recognizing the top 50 assistant coaches in the state. So many people have poured into me and for that I’m grateful. Thank you to my wife, my kids, my family, our players, and coaches.

Don’t forget that Alvin Mack started college as a walk-on receiver at Texas State before entering the portal and transferring to ESU where he became an all-American linebacker.

@NoFlyZoneChat1 @thecoachpad @dbmaster20 A3: Start the communication early and often in the offseason. Eye contact, hand signals, formation ID. Then rep route concepts vs coverages with just two or three defenders at a time

@NoFlyZoneChat1 @Wardbord_ @dbmaster20 A2: For me it’s always been based off players ability but then Down/Distance and coverage type has always dictated it the most. Patience comes from ability and coverage discipline. Defend double moves with eye discipline.

@NoFlyZoneChat1 @Wardbord_ @dbmaster20 A1: We always start with teaching what WR splits meant and the possible routes to come from those splits. We then paired that thinking to the coverages we play.

The Winning Difference
The Winning Difference@thewinningdiff1·
"Bad habits have a cost. Good habits have a price. Either way you have to pay. The meaningful things- we pay for before. The foolish things- we pay for after." Winners pay upfront (sacrifice, effort, discipline). Everyone else pays later (regret). That’s the difference.
