We’re told 100-200 people waited around the 18th green but he was left alone on the way around by the usual unfazed St. Andrews’ crowd.

@Coach_jeffcombs @TheGolfDivoTee Long putters greatly benefit those with the putting hips, like Bernhard developed in his 40s. If you don’t have the yips, there might not be much benefit. And Bernhard use to win almost every week during his first 18 years on Champions.

Ok, DJ is an outlier. Strong face and flexed wrist combo is a rare move as is the ability to match it up. Why internet coaches spout this style to the masses is beyond me. One in 500,000 can make it work. It’s often mis-interpreted too. Example, yes the wrist is flexed and club artificially shallows initially in transition but it soon steepens, as does the arm plane. Reducing in an enormous “left” swing direction producing a power fade. If you are athletic enough to match it up, go for it. Most “react” and hit is aweful with this style. Flexed wrist and more neutral clubface is marginally easier to make work, but still has compensations. Careful what content you consume in the self-appointed coaching wildwest. (Vid @shot.tracer)
