I Don’t Know Why Houston Would Consider Moving On From Azeez But Is Personality Is NEEDED In Dallas. There’s No Killers On This Defense & I Don’t Mean Aaron Hernandez Type But Type That Might Try To End Your Existence On The Field. Haven’t Had That Type Since Maybe Jay Ratliff

In coverage, Azeez Al-Shaair recorded an interception or a pass defensed on 23.5% of targets faced as the nearest defender in coverage last season, the second-highest rate among defenders with at least 20 targets faced when aligned as an off-ball linebacker.

Dolphins get: Pick 20
Cowboys get: Jordyn Brooks and Pick 30
Is that better?

Whether it’s 112, 92, or next years 2, I don’t see why there would be any hesitation from the Cowboys perspective

@NickHarrisFWST Can someone pls sign Murray so Jerry isn’t tempted. Maybe he has forgotten about him lol. I heard he was watching Murray’s college tape though.

@NickHarrisFWST And watching Kenneth Murray college tape thinking….maybe he can return to that form loooool

@FootsDaKing I bet they are a long way away from this trade happening and Miami could have said no already

I want everyone to slow down. Don’t think the trade is happening tomorrow or maybe even at all. I think Nick was just giving an update on ideas

@Iishamorrison You’d think I said the trade has been finalized and it’s happening any minute now lol

Look at those stats from college he was a beast and sucked every game as a pro so we don’t really know what these guys will do.
English

@nickfromda301 They’ve pivoted off Queen. Al-Shaair & Brooks are being discussed though

My first mock draft of the season is live.
I have the Cowboys getting secondary and defensive line help in the first round, but what about linebacker?

Jacob Rodriguez (Texas Tech) is a highly productive, instinctual linebacker whose main weaknesses stem from being undersized (6'1", 231–235 lbs) and lacking ideal length. He struggles to shed blocks from larger offensive linemen, can be overaggressive, leading to missed tackles, and sometimes bites on play-action. While a good zone defender, he has limitations in man coverage against elite athletic tight ends/backs.

Size and Length Limitations: Rodriguez is considered undersized for a linebacker, with a narrow frame and shorter arms, making it difficult for him to consistently break off blocks when taking on offensive linemen.
Run Defense and Block Shedding: Due to his size, he can get washed out of plays when opposing linemen reach the second level. He relies on anticipation rather than brute strength, which can hinder him in traffic.
Over-aggression and Missed Tackles: He has a tendency to over-pursue or take bad angles while chasing big plays, which has resulted in a high number of missed tackles. He is known to miss tackles while aiming for high-impact hits.
Coverage and Reaction: While showing good instincts, he can be tricked by misdirection, play-action, or head fakes. He may face limitations against quick running backs on wheel routes or in man-to-man situations.
Draft Projection and Mentality: While some analysts see a high-level instinctive starter, others argue he is better suited to a weakside (WLB) role rather than inside/middle linebacker (MLB) at the next level.
