Abby Cruz 31’, is defense nightmare averaging 1.5 steals last tournament while recording 5 in game two. With her lighting speed, defense turns to offense very quickly. Abby is also capable of knocking the midrange jumper #Stokes☘️

Preslee May (’32) led all scorers in game one with 9 points. A highly athletic and versatile forward, she impacts the game on both ends, capable of defending all five positions and scoring efficiently at all three levels.

Next game is 1/22 vs Elkin to finish the regular season. Conference tournament will begin Saturday at Gentry Middle School.

Younger girls finished the season 11-1 with a 33-13 win. Bailey Ramirez led with 13 points and Charlotte Inman added 5 points. They finished 1st place conference, collecting the most wins in 3 years.

Chestnut Grove improved to 11-2 with a 51-20 win over Piney Grove. Brooklyn Horton finished w/ 14 points (S-High), 8 Rebs and 6 stls. Alyssa Davis add 13 points, 4 Rebs, 4 stls. Chloee Brown had 10 points (3/3 2pt) and 5 Rebs. Kaylin Decker grabbed 8 Rebs.

Trojans move to 10-2 after a 27-38 loss to a well coached Gentry team. Trojans were led by Kailyn Decker w/ 12 rebs, 8 pts, & 5 blk. Contributing also was Brooklyn Horton w/ 5 ast & 5 stls. Alyssa Davis led w/ 3 ast.
