It’s #FossilFriday! Here’s a spectacular Primocandelabrum from the #Ediacaran aged MUN surface at Port Union, #Newfoundland. It lived on the deep sea floor and looked a bit like a tiny tree: a central trunk led to smaller branches, which were covered with yet smaller branches.

Stay tuned for news on their final public presentation, Friday, September 27. The Field School is a graduate course offered by the Folklore Department, taught by Dr. Kelley Totten and TA Ainjel Stephens, with motivational support from Phyllis (the pup).

Now the students are out and about conducting fieldwork, talking to folks, taking notes and photos, attending local events, and recording conversations and stories!
