Steven Schumacher has confirmed Corey Blackett-Taylor will return to Derby County for assessment and specialist treatment on a torn thigh, but hasn't yet put a timescale on the winger's recovery.

@David_O_91 @chriswswfc76 Why don’t your guys pay the 100% Chansiri is owed?
English

@Cobby5 @chriswswfc76 So when you said our bidders should pay the 25% ... you guys didnt even pay the 100% you owed. Cost the working man a lot of money.
English

When it is argued, in various football disputes, that points deductions must be imposed even for inadvertent breaches, in order to vindicate compliant clubs, one has to wonder whether that reflects a genuine commitment to consistent strict enforcement in all cases, or is simply a position adopted for the purposes of a particular case.
Consistency is very important in sport - the lack of it can undermine public confidence in the integrity of the whole game.
I do not comment on any one individual case, I just hope that those involved in the decision making processes can see the merit in treating each case according to its particular circumstances rather than being inflexible in some, but very flexible in others.
That, I am sure, would help restore the confidence in sports arbitration we all wish for.
English

@TedDonston @David_O_91 @chriswswfc76 Not bent at all. The EFL rules are that non football creditors need to be paid 25% to avoid further sanctions.
HMRC accepted a negotiation which met the EFL’s rule.
English

@David_O_91 @chriswswfc76 You’re right, well done to our guys for negotiating it. And thank you to HMRC for realising that 25% of £28 million is a lot more than. 100% of nothing.
English

@Cobby5 @chriswswfc76 @nickdemarco_ Thats incorrect EFL Rules state HMRC are to be paid at 100% this came into practice in 2020 so Derby didnt pay their creditors the owed amount at all.
English

@GoalShort @owl_s74 @merrymiller123 Perhaps. Just in the same way that Leicester’s actions created the rule for -12 points for admin. And Leeds actions created the date cut off for penalties being applied to the current season
Rules are there, and with the EFL they’re often found to be lacking so need to be revised
English

@Cobby5 @owl_s74 @merrymiller123 So we could have saved at least 75% of the money we owed to the HMRC but because Derby had already ripped them off to the tune of 20m we’re not allowed that privilege. Fair comment?
English

Storch have gone to a lot of effort if all they’re going to do is walk away ref restrictions
I don’t see it, I think they see it through and possibly explore an appeal route, feel there is a need for constructive conversation with the EFL rather than all out war #swfc
English

@David_O_91 @nickdemarco_ He paid 25% to everybody who asked for payment.
At that point HMRC weren’t due any preferential treatment.
English

@Cobby5 @nickdemarco_ Clowes didnt pay 25 % of Creditors Derby had £23m written off by HMRC (minimum) which was owed at 100%, £124m in Director Loans at 25% owed. Clowes would have needed to pay another £54m at least to make what youre saying true
English

@David_O_91 @chriswswfc76 @nickdemarco_ Nope, at that point HMRC were classed as a normal creditor in line with everyone else.
The rules on that may have changed now? I’m not sure.
English

@Cobby5 @chriswswfc76 @nickdemarco_ HMRC was owed at 100% and wrote it off to stopnyour club going into liquidation
English

@GoalShort @owl_s74 @merrymiller123 We paid the 25% which HMRC agreed to. If they didn’t agree with it the we’d have gone bust.
English

@Cobby5 @owl_s74 @merrymiller123 Were you still saying pay your debts at this point out of interest just before you ripped the state off?
dailymail.co.uk/sport/football…
English

@owl_s74 @GoalShort @merrymiller123 They got the 25% like all non football creditors did.
So SWFC will be paying HMRC all £1.6 mill they are due? Or will it be single figure % like the rest of your creditors?
English

@smith_john37671 @DeborahTaylor3 @nickdemarco_ Yes, at least twice they went unpaid which lead to transfer embargo’s.
English

@Cobby5 @DeborahTaylor3 @nickdemarco_ Did you have staff going unpaid and half the squad cancelling contracts?
English

@steelermark @veggiekrays @nickdemarco_ HMRC got the 25%, the same as all the other non-football creditors. Otherwise we’d have started the next season on -15 too.
Morris wrote off what was owed to him. That was his choice, probably because he realised he cocked up rather than being forced out like chansiri was.
English

@GoalShort @nickdemarco_ but we didn’t force him out of the club, did we? We didn’t boycott, campaign against him, push him to put the club into administration. Chansiri’s is different to Morris’ situation. Chansiri has an axe to grind. Morris just had enough.
There is an element of you reap what you sow
English

@Cobby5 @nickdemarco_ Would David Clowes have paid Mel Morris 25% of his debt had he not dropped it. So let’s add in your case at least another 25m to the asking price.
Does Clowes still proceed with buying the club?
English

@chriswswfc76 @nickdemarco_ HMRC got the 25% that all the non-football creditors did.
English

@Cobby5 @nickdemarco_ If you insist on comparing….Luckily for you Mel Morris didn’t dig his heels in like Chansiri. And didn’t HMRC write off most of the £29m you owed?
English

@owl_s74 @merrymiller123 There needs to be a deterrent for clubs going into administration, wiping their debts and carrying on Willy nilly. There has to be consequences.
We had the 12 points and then a strict business plan when we came out the other side.
English

@Cobby5 @merrymiller123 And it’s great for Derby that he did, but not every club is going to find a David Clowes, are they !
If we go to the wall, what happens to a Blackburn , or Leicester , or whatever clubs next
The insolvency policy is not a suitable one size fits all rule
English

@DeborahTaylor3 @nickdemarco_ Yep, but we didn’t force him out of the club, did we? We didn’t boycott, campaign against him, pushing him towards putting the club into administration.
There is an element of you reap what you sow.
English

@Cobby5 @nickdemarco_ So we have to pay the a**ehole that put us in the position and he gets rewarded for it? Mel Morris gave up his share otherwise you'd have been in the same position
English

@wrightmich1977 @nickdemarco_ Yep, but we didn’t force him out of the club, did we? We didn’t boycott, campaign against him, pushing him towards putting the club into administration.
There is an element of you reap what you sow.
English

@Cobby5 @nickdemarco_ Incorrect Mel Morris waived what was owed. If not you would have suffered the same fate.
English

@ChrisShaw2 @nickdemarco_ There no bitterness here. Your new owners should pay up.
English

@Cobby5 @nickdemarco_ Go off and swot up, rather than carrying around years of bitterness.
English

@owl_s74 @merrymiller123 It’s never been handed out because buyers like David Clowes have ensured they hit the 25% mark.
English

@merrymiller123 The -15 has never been handed out in this situation before, it is what it is, I agree they can’t back down , however it sets a precedent in the other direction where they have to uphold it against the next club and they go to the wall because there’s no buyer
English

It’s because he’s more than just numbers on a spreadsheet or a computer game or fantasy league. Football is about people and characters and personality. Ebou is the epitome of that. #dcfc
Archie@archiegh_
The Ebou love-in is bizarre to me. Physically great and technically limited - perfect for upper L1/lower Championship level. We are so fortunate to not need players of that standard anymore but our fans seem obsessed with him. Good at the time, but time to move on! #dcfc
