📣 Cobh Ramblers Sign Luka Le Bervet on Two-Year Professional Deal ✍️ Cobh Ramblers are thrilled to announce Luka Le Bervet has extended his contract at St. Colmans Park, signing a two-year full-time senior contract, marking the first signing of the new era under Head Coach Fran Rockett. Luka has been a rising star within our club for several seasons, demonstrating consistent progression through our academy and into a first team regular over the past 2 seasons. In his debut season, 2024, he made 20 League of Ireland First Division appearances, laying the groundwork for the year ahead. During the 2025 season he further cemented his place in the first team and made a total of 22 appearances in a season where the club finished second in the divison. Cobh Ramblers Fran Rockett had this to say on Luka: “Luka embodies the ambition we have at Cobh — young, local, committed. We are delighted he’s made this commitment. His progress reflects the pathway we want to build here.” We welcome Luka into the senior squad and look forward to watching him continue to grow, develop and contribute as we embark on this exciting new era. ⚽🟣🔵

Club Statement Cobh Ramblers Football Club can confirm that Michael McDermott is no longer First Team Manager. We would like to thank Mick for his service to the club this season and wish him well in the future. Richie Holland will take charge of the team on an interim basis for the upcoming playoffs. As we enter this important stage of the season, we encourage all supporters to get behind Richie and the squad. The support of our community has always been at the heart of the club, and we look forward to continuing that journey together — through the playoffs and into the future. This Sunday, August 31st, will see the return of the annual Cobh Jailbreak Standard Distance Triathlon organised by Cobh Triathlon Club. Best of luck to all participants as they take on this year’s challenge, which kicks off at 9:30am on Spike Island! 📍 Notice to Mariners: The swimming element of the triathlon will take place between Spike Island Pier (east beach) and Cobh Department of Defence Pier / Columbine Quay, starting at 10:15am and finishing by 11:30am. Around 350 competitors will be supported by safety boats and sea kayaks. Mariners are asked to: - Keep well clear of the swim route. - Minimise wash in the area. - Follow safety craft instructions. - Avoid crossing the swim route during the event. Safety boats will be monitoring VHF Channels 12 & 68 throughout the morning. Please be mindful of the event if you’re out on the water or around the harbour on Sunday.

Due to unforeseen circumstances the Map Unveiling event in Cobh Library has been rescheduled to Thursday December 05th at 11am. Apologies for any inconvenience caused. Join us for the official unveiling event of a very special and rare Ordnance Survey map of Cobh town which was donated to the library by a local patron. The map dates from 1898 and depicts the town front and surrounding areas. It is the only copy of this map currently in existence and has been restored and conserved in recent months. A scaled up replica of this map will go on permanent exhibition in the library for the enjoyment of the people of Cobh. This project was supported by Cork County Council Commemorations Committee. Following on from the unveiling at 11.30am the library will hold a talk on the usefulness of maps in conducting local history and genealogical research which will be given by Rory Bunce, Executive Librarian, Local Studies.
