@CharlesHouser1 Yea, I don’t think anyone is salvageable on this staff after season. I do think the season can be salvageable though if moves are made now before they get too far into the conference season. I believe the talent is there.

If you were told that if Carolina loses to Charlotte and gets swept by Arkansas that Mainieri gets fired, would you openly pull for them to lose? I’m not saying I would, I’m just curious to see where the desperation is at this point to get him out of the dugout.

@NickSanche93977 @DonChambers82 @markw11962 Terry Rooney has been the recruiting coordinator since he got there with Mainieri, hence why they’re going heavier on the portal than in state recruiting. I do agree that this program was at its best when they were bringing in the instate dudes.

@DonChambers82 @markw11962 Also for a “recruiting guru” Monte has been absolutely awful at getting the top in state talent here. Has whiffed on several big time high school guys who committed to out of state programs

Not going to go too much into it, but... Can pretty confidently say that from what I've heard so far that Paul Maneiri is going to be stepping down at the end of this season. Will be a re-retirement of sorts. South Carolina baseball coaching search will be an interesting one

If he’s allowed to finish out and retire at the end of the season, then the powers at be just wasted all of their investments in these players. Their ROI still has a chance if they get this guy out NOW! The damage could be too great if they wait til the end of the year…

I foresee Founders turning into Baum East this weekend. Don’t be shocked when Arkansas fans outnumber Carolina fans for this upcoming series. Tonight’s loss and losing 5 in a row like they have has officially spelled death for this team in the fans eyes for the season. It’s done.

What I am advocating for is getting the old man out of the dugout while there is still some season left and just see if Monte can breath some life into these guys and fans and then worry about the new hire after the season.

We’d be a 33 win team at best under Monte. Going from Maneiri to Monte would be like how we went from Muschamp to Beamer. Minimal improvements

This will be the first baseball season in I can’t remember how long that I won’t be attending a game at Founders Park. At this point, I refuse to drive 2+ hours to walk into a ballpark and be frustrated before the first pitch. I’ll head back to Founders once Mainieri is gone.

They literally cannot get any worse and for the record, the hitting philosophy for this team this season is more Mainieri than Monte. They were never this bad with Monte under Kingston…

@NickSanche93977 This team would 100% be more competitive with Monte at the helm. Not saying he’s the answer long term, but I would absolutely be on board with letting Monte run the show and see how he does. Mainieri’s cronie, Terry Rooney, would have to go too though.
