Following the Dragon Bravo and White Sage fires, Coconino County hired AC Disaster Consulting to develop a long-term recovery plan for small businesses, community stakeholders and residents impacted. The process included nine public listening sessions held across Coconino County in December and a community survey that helped shape the final plan. The plan will be presented during the Coconino County Board of Supervisors meeting on Tuesday, March 24, and will also be presented by AC Disaster Consulting at public meetings throughout the County. ℹ️ For more information visit: coconino.az.gov/economicrecove…

🏜️ Today, the U.S. House of Representatives voted unanimously to pass H.R.5729, the North Rim Restoration Act, to expedite the rebuilding of the North Rim of the Grand Canyon National Park after last summer's Dragon Bravo Fire. We are thankful to Rep. Eli Crane for introducing the bill and all those who supported this bipartisan effort. Now we turn to the Senate to move us another step closer to remaining, rebuilding, and restoring the treasured landmark of the Grand Canyon National Park.

⛑️❤️ The Board of Supervisors designated March 2026 as American Red Cross Month, honoring our neighbors who make its humanitarian mission possible in Coconino County. Those who serve with the American Red Cross of Northern Arizona light the way during emergencies, and these collective efforts are a powerful reminder of the strength of our community. We'd like to thank Henning Larsen, Executive Director with American Red Cross, Northern Arizona Chapter, for reading this proclamation at last week's Board meeting.

🩸🌑 Tomorrow morning (March 3), you'll be able to see a very rare sight: a "Blood Moon" eclipse! This occurs when Earth moves directly between the sun and the moon, casting a shadow on the satellite’s surface and causing it to appear a spooky red color.
