@FreddieCarthy 3 for work and 1 for myself (to handle my personal things). I like it. Maybe because I’m new. I feel like a genius with all these monitors around me

I feel like the only developer in the world that prefers a single monitor. Laptop closed and stowed away. Give me *less* things to look at, not more! Just a single terminal window, full screen 👨‍💻 Anyone else like me? How many monitors do you use?

@br80io That’s so true. I fight the urge to ‘fake it til I make it’ every day at work. I realized real quick that if you don’t ask questions, you’ll stay blocked and then your job becomes that more stressful. This industry is all about learning. No need to feel inadequate.

A sign of confidence is being unafraid to ask questions when stuck. The confident coder is secure in what they know and comfortable asking about what they don't. The insecure coder fears questions will reveal their inadequacy.

Confidence is key to coding. Those without confidence think, "I'll fake it 'til I make it" but you can't fool a compiler. Confidence is earned, through hard practice and overcoming failure.

@Code4Blessings Yay! Good luck. You'll do awesome! And if it doesn't pan out, something will soon 👍 DM me if you want to do any kind of interview prep, or need a code review

Closing the chapter on one of the best jobs I've ever had. I appreciate the support that everyone has given me so far today. The Lambda community is so special. I've got plans for a big life pivot. Wish me luck in the next adventure!!

Today is a sad day. About an hour ago we held a company all-hands where I announced the hard decision that we are laying off 65 Lambda School employees as part of a restructuring. lambdaschool.com/the-commons/up…

#100DaysOfCode So I have to switch gears a bit, put aside the #Python marathon aside for a bit and just focus on code challenges for the next month or so depending on how long this process will take.

It just goes to show just how much more there is to learn out there. Anyways my goal of sending out 10 job apps is completed, and I'm just about done with a take-home project for a tech interview--another Flutter Mobile Dev job. Happy trails!!!

#100DaysOfCode ...they work. You make an input statement asking the user a question, then wrap a print statement around it with a response to the user's answer. How did I overlook this? Have any of you Twitter Devs experienced this?

I just want to take a moment to thank @LambdaSchool for their Fellows program. I have learned so much on this job. Working with a team really enhanced my knowledge of Flutter and brought out creative juices I didn’t know I had. Thank you so much for this.
