@JohnHackworth @artpi @made_in_cosmos Forced pair programming sessions? Damn! I agree that they should just come naturally. We do pair and mob programming pretty effectively, but they are not forced but we do them because we learned to identify when they are needed. Also, we know the right tools to not burn us out.
English

So I only have one main #development setup and it's all in my desktop computer. Sometimes I just need a change of scenery so I continue coding in my laptop at my backyard. I don't need to setup anything. I just share a #CodeTogether session with myself. And that's awesome!

How quickly do Jr. developers onboard and "come up to speed" on your team?
Are they are learning and collaborating with the team on day #1?
Do they feel part of the team immediately?
Do they feel like they are interrupting someone else's work flow when they ask questions?

English

@petikoch @mob__mentality @simonharrer @jlangr @Pascal_Erni Are you asking how old CodeTogether is? It was first launched to the public on May, 2020.
English

I loved reading this article by @jlangr. We often underestimate the power of pairing while #programming or even while learning. It's a win-win relationship for both experienced and new #developers.

@petikoch @mob__mentality @simonharrer @Pascal_Erni I iterated a number of reasons why mob programming might increase speed over pairing or solo dev in this article: bit.ly/2G7V9t3

@petikoch @mob__mentality @simonharrer @jlangr @Pascal_Erni Thanks for trying it out! Glad you liked it. Regarding the 60 minutes (and other) limitation, it's not yet enforced due to Covid. So all pro features are available for free at the moment.

@jlangr @petikoch @mob__mentality @simonharrer @Pascal_Erni Hi! You can see Floobits in this Compare Matrix: codetogether.com/docs/pair-prog…
English

@CoderGeorge @petikoch @mob__mentality @simonharrer @Pascal_Erni How would you compare CodeTogether with, say, Floobits?
English

@petikoch @mob__mentality @simonharrer @jlangr @Pascal_Erni But I don't want to loose credibility just because of that. I encourage you to try and compare, then you use what works better for you. Regarding comparing each other, I'm sure you will find more blogs with feature matrix :) So you will see for yourself.
English

@petikoch @mob__mentality @simonharrer @jlangr @Pascal_Erni That's a tricky question! 😆I am both. CodeTogether was born as a solution for our internal frustration with existing tools for pair programming, so we created it and I work directly in the development team. And yes, I'm highly satisfied with it as well! 😇😇
