Designers keep getting told to just use Claude Code for everything, but where do you even start?
Dealing with local setup, approvals, previews, and Git is all pretty daunting. Plus, it's tough to know whether all that learning is actually going to be worth the investment once you have it working.
Here's where I think Claude Code actually helps designers, where it gets annoying, and how to get it up and running.

Hot Tip: Opus 4.7 just dropped, which means implementing the advisor pattern has never been more important. Don't blow your entire session usage on a single prompt!

We just shipped Builder 2.0 and I genuinely think this changes how software teams operate. AI coding has been single-player for too long. Now the whole team gets to play. Go check it out 👇

One AI agent feels like a superpower.
Multiple agents feel like sysadmin hell.
Ports clash. Git gets weird. Notifications tell you nothing useful. Half your day disappears into the Alt-Tab dance.
I wrote about what breaks in multi-agent workflows, and how to scale past solo agent experimentation.

If you work in Figma and keep hearing about MCP, here’s the tl;dr:
• Pull any frame and its context into Claude, Codex, Cursor, whatever agent you want
• Have the agent implement it in your real app
• Send live UI back into Figma for review
• Even generate new designs directly in Figma
I wrote up how to set it up and where it’s actually useful for designers:
