We've never been hopeful about proprietary social media platforms, but sometimes hacking the patriarchy is about taking advantage of gaps in the system to try to build better things. These gaps we believe no longer exist on Twitter.

For a long time, Twitter was the social media where we connected the most with researchers, activists and policymakers around the world. Through # we met inspiring people. But now, it has been turned into a mechanism that promotes hate and destruction. So we choose to disconnect.
