I collect "conversation piece" cards. 1996 Fleer Metal Bernard Gilkey. In 1997, Gilkey had a cameo as an outfielder in Men in Black. He stares at an incoming alien spaceship as a pop fly drops. Interesting coincidence. #BaseballCards Sharing stories like this helps grow th hobby.

I separated these from my collection today. 30 years ago, I was given these cards by my Uncle Scottie, who had collected them. He left them in my bedroom in a Reebok sneaker box before he went back to Fort Bragg. I never saw him again, a victim of military suicide at 21.

Considering the card show sale route, because I dont know the e-this, e-that stuff. Just don't know if my inventory will even cover a table cost. #BaseballCards

3) 1987 Sportflics Team Previews: Tom Glavine is one of several players on this motion card. His RCs are in 1988. This set is officially a 1987 set, but did not hit stores until '88. This is the only MLB-official Glavine card of him in Braves blue.

2) 1984 True Value White Sox coaches: Jim Leyland's only appearance on an MLB card in a White Sox uniform. He was a base coach. Fellow future HOF'er Tony LaRussa manages. Leyland's RC is in 1987 Topps, and XRC in 1986 Topps Traded.
