This was a difficult moment as well as a difficult result to accept, for so many in our community as the decision was made to close Comeaux High School last night Over the last few years, Comeaux has been more than just a school. It has been a home, a place where young men and young women grew, learned, competed, and built memories. The halls, classrooms, and Friday night lights created a legacy that will never be erased. As a student athlete, I had the honor of representing Comeaux on the football field. Every snap, every practice, and every game was played with pride for the Spartans who came before me and those who stood beside me. I want to thank Comeaux High School for the coaches who invested their time, the teachers who pushed me to succeed, the teammates who became brothers, and the community that showed support. The building may close, but the legacy of Comeaux will live on through the people it shaped. I will forever be proud to say I wore the Comeaux jersey. Once a Spartan, always a Spartan.
