Dr. T.J. Kiczenski '99 has been named a research fellow at Corning. Kiczenski began researching glass at Coe with Dr. Steve Feller. He has spent more than half of his life in research and serves as a principal scientist in glass research. Congratulations, Dr. Kiczenski!

The Colonial Ball used to be an annual tradition at Coe College that was held on George Washington's Birthday, which is today as he was born in 1732! The tradition started in 1911 and has since been discontinued (unkown year). #throwbackthursday

MWENDO is a Swahili word meaning journey. Starting in 1970, the literary magazine was full of poetry and artwork from African-American students and has helped people understand who they are during the publication's 20-year run. You can access editions of MWENDO in Coe's archives.

The annual Contemporary Issues Forum is tomorrow at 7:30 PM. The event is open to the public and features DJ Patil, the first-ever U.S. chief data scientist. Kohawk Bill Schmarzo '79 will moderate the event. In-person tickets are available at coe.edu/box-office.
