@jewishmemequeen Ask around. There are synagogues and other Jewish institutions that do not charge for HHD admissions, and some that charge as little as they can.

Can we discuss the difficulties of being single and the high holidays? Many of us go back home for Rosh hashana but stay local for Yom Kippur. It’s a lot of money to purchase seats for just Yom Kippur. Many will be eating the seuda alone and going to shul by themselves.

@PainfullyShai In every family there are crazy relatives. Judaism is no different. If someone is unkind, that's their sin, not yours. If someone is questioning your conversion, refer them to your rabbi. If it's happening on line, block them.

@aaronhoyland How did you address it with her? If you said, "Oops, honey, I am SO sorry I pinched you" then she'll be fine. If you said, "That was nothing!" or "Big girls never cry" then you need some help now. Don't wait 30 years. Just teach your kid how to apologize by doing it yourself.
