Friday was the 5th installment of the DHS/DCHS Alumni Band. With 117 members and a beautiful night, football Friday night was even more special. @DublinCoffmanHS @DublinSchools

Making finals at a BOA Regional is not easy. What we hope is not lost on our students is learning the concept of delayed gratification. This life lesson is a concept that is hard for young adults to understand due to the immediacy that we all expect to have in our lives. #boa

What a special moment it was to not only feature our amazing trombone students but also their dads. Performing with us was Kie Watkins (father of Liem) and Craig Hamm (father of Corey). We also welcomed back to the stage Dr. Keller who was the Director of Bands at DC for 28 years

The jazz bands received a clinic from a 15 year veteran of Broadway. Sean McDaniel gave our students a great clinic on how to be friendly to everyone you meet because you never know who might help you on your journey.

The jazz bands are in NYC. First stop Times Square, then a clinic at Lincoln Center, followed by a private tour of the New York Stock Exchange, with our night ending at Dizzy’s nightclub. What will tomorrow bring?
