I'm trying something different with my astrophotography this year – blending Earth and the Cosmos. One major point of inspiration was my hard turn back to Christianity/Jesus (which I've become increasingly outspoken about) – Many upcoming projects will reflect that, including this image below. Would love to know how you like this idea 👇🏼

@Pat_Stedman You articulated exactly what was in my head. I managed to find one of the exceptions after months of searching. It's why I drive 50+ mins to go to church.

I don't like to say what I'm about to say because I don't want to amplify the damage these people have already done But I speak and work with Christian men daily, and it's really hard to understate the absolute destruction the grifters, hypocrites, and cowards are causing to people's faith. Christianity is suffering a serious brand crisis right now in no small part because the lack of masculine energy in the Church has taken away not only its standards but its sense of direction, and with this increasingly its social purpose. I want to say before I go into this I am Christian not simply due to the Gospel's epistemological truths, but because I have been experienced the Holy Spirit first hand But on a practical basis the Church itself seems incapable of helping to orient people, particularly men of spirit, to respond to the challenges of the day. It does not help them to find spouses, and the "help" it does give usually sets them up for failure. Moreover the general unwillingness to offend anyone means they are not preparing these men to navigate the world or face the growing civilizational crisis. Many parishes are actively subversive, the bread and butter are either sterile or resemble a sales conference, and tragically the ones that are actually sober and serious are usually focused on retreating inward into dogma and ritual than engaging in the culture. In one form or another, it seems the plot has been lost, at least as it pertains to saving society at large. I know there are exceptions to this across denominations, and there are great men working to remasculinize and restore the religion, whether from the pulpit or congregation. These men are doing God's work and deserve our support. I don't want to diminish them or their efforts But I admit I am personally discouraged with what I have seen. The best men I know are Christian, but none of their manly qualities were cultivated in the Church, and their wives were always met in more secular contexts. They invariably became more religious later in response to the left's evil and the collapse going on around them, hoping to find a spiritual home, but have shared with me their frustrations at the lukewarm, henpecked guys they encounter there I know many Christians will shrug about all of this and try to tell me that the point of Church is the Word or the Sacrament, and the rest of what's going on is "worldly" and doesn't matter But candidly this feels like a cop out based on the role the Church has historically played, and doesn't speak to me or my heart. And I know I am not the only western man who feels this way. We are facing an existential crisis - between collapsing birthrates and mass migration, the frayed social fabric, broken trust between the sexes - we are under attack. I want a Church that will call me to higher action on these problems, to offer hope that we can solve them - to encourage boldness because that is what God requires of us to face evil This courage seems rare today, and the lectures I am offered instead feel shallow and oblivious

Christian young men are mortified of getting Sarah Stocked. Better off marrying the bartender. Sorority girl. Cheerleader. Pageant model. Etc. “Church is a reformed ex-brothel,” one anonymous Zoomer told me yesterday.

@AJA_Cortes I think framing is an issue for many people. Narrowly targeting the benefit (focus, etc) rather than the experience. Cigars are more of a social experience. Less nicotine, consumed slower, good company, relaxation, etc. Addiction isn't as much of a problem this way.

@realpeteyb123 I've been leveling up in my career pretty significantly the past 5+ years and I still feel like my purchasing power and quality of life is the same as it was when my income was half of today's income. You have no choice but to level up, simply to keep up.

No, I don’t understand how people are surviving, and living comfortably. I’m not one to nitpick pricing and I feel it & see it and I’m shocked at how Americans can live their life. How can anyone afford a home? Travel? Go out? Eat quality foods? Have multiple kids? Brutality
Adam@morpho_adam

@realpeteyb123 The economy as it currently exists is crushing the middle class. I’ve removed all vices and the resulting expenses, continually level up at my job, and still can’t seem to get ahead. Is this simply a skill issue and I need to input more effort?

Anthropic - $380B valuation OpenAI - $850B valuation SpaceX - $800B valuation Absolutely criminal that 99% of Americans couldn't get in on the upside Everyone age 25 - 40 just watched their generation’s most iconic companies scale without being able to participate in the upside

@realpeteyb123 Prior crashes were 85% and 75%, in that order. Could extrapolate/assume this crash may be 65%, which puts the low around $45k. BUT, a lot more institutional money in $BTC this go-round + less volatility. So the bottom may likely be less that 65%. Maybe ~$55k it will bottom?
