@EndersFPS They did a ttk overhaul in BF4 where they basically just increased every full auto gun's ttk by 1 bullet. I don't see why something like that won't work for BF6. There might be a handful of weapons that need to be rebalanced individually, but that can't be that much work.

BF6 will never become less frustrating unless they change the TTK. The gameplay loop is one of the worst for sure.

@SgtDangerCow There ought to be a price to pay for jumping around and shooting players like a monkey. You can jump and fire while aiming down sights (ADS) without any penalty. It’s truly ridiculous. Movement speeds could also be toned down a notch. we’re playing BF, not CoD or Titanfall.

Just for Enders, cos no doubt he'll be sent this. It's not about movement per se, it's a juxtaposition observation. I'm not advocating for more movement nerf and in fact, I have been advocating for movement to be freer than it is right now. I'm actually on your side in this.

@Eclipse_Ilx @Khaade_0 @JohnDoughslaya @EndersFPS The number of people who can use air strafing effectively is pretty low. My guess it's probably around 1-2 people on average in a server (unless its 24/7 locker/metro servers). Also, air strafing isn't mechanically difficult to do. People were doing it in 2015 at similar rates

@Khaade_0 @JohnDoughslaya @Cohomological @EndersFPS I'd imagine casuals currently playing BF4 probably quit or just hate air strafing. Since it wasn't THAT prevalent back in the early to mid 2010's the casuals didn't cry about it. but TRUST ME if casuals went back to BF4 in 2026 they would TWEAK out.

Update is great. Plays exactly how I thought it would play. DICE essentially compromised and went for the middleground between how the gunplay was before the update, and absolute peak utopia. Limb multipliers are doing their job, feel great. Maybe remove the lower stomach limb multi though, make it same as chest. Ideally, weapons need even more spread, but it's an accessibility concern for EA at that point, so they'll never go overboard with changes even if they are "ideal" for the gameplay of the game. I see some people saying that the weapons feel "easier" to shoot after this update, and they're feeling the random recoil reduction. Spread increase at range is noticable enough, once again ideally it should be more like previous titles, but I'll take what we have now. Netcode also feels slightly more snappy and improved to me. Didnt die behind cover like I did yesterday, and hits felt responsive to me.

@T0TALfps @EndersFPS The update IS a step in the right direction, but the changes to headshot and limb multipliers aren't anything significant and don't affect TTK in a meaningful way. Plus, there was no mention on centering the aim point, which would make gunplay feel significantly better

@T0TALfps @EndersFPS All of these combined completely tip the balance of aggressive and passive play, resulting in a frustrating and/or boring gameplay loop. Some things, like interiors, are unreasonable to change now, but headshots, ttk, centered aim point, and movement should be looked at (6/6)

@EndersFPS David Sirland did essentially overhaul BF4 combat back in 2014 so it's not without precedent. Air strafing might be a long shot, but slower ttk, centered aim point, and headshots might have a chance of happening. Otherwise this game is dying within a year of the final update

@EndersFPS Good changes overall but the headshot changes seem almost entirely inconsequential. Especially since the damage dropoff in BF6 is discrete instead of gradual.
