@CoinHeated @Cyber_Trailer @NevrEnoughX if you only have fsd 12.6 I very strongly encourage you to take a 48 test drive with fsd 14 - you'll be amazed 12.6 was great 13 was 100x better fsd 14 is 10,000x better. Almost never have to intervene. For me it couldn't get out of tight parallel parking once

The debate is getting more interesting. A 2024 Tesla model S plaid in Fresno was aggressively purchased by a dealership in North Carolina because it had lifetime FSD. Certain dealerships across the country are doing whatever they can to purchase Tesla vehicles with a fully paid for FSD license. The reason this is happening is because buyers are going to dealerships and asking them to search for any available vehicle that has lifetime FSD. The dealership simply looks nationwide for it and then marks up the price. Word is getting out. How much more do you think an FSD vehicle is worth?

@dansemperepico you wouldn't HAVE to. You could keep the existing one, and in the event you had to bring it in, it could be replaced back prior. Changing it with the proper part numbers would not void warranty.

Has anyone gone for the steering wheel retrofit on their Tesla Model S/X? I really like the yoke because its out of the way of the driver's display, and in Dubai I'm mostly driving on highways so there's not a lot of manouvring happening. If we had FSD here I would probably keep it, but I'm considering switching to steering wheel because I feel like in the case of an emergency manouvre I'd be able to better react and control the car with a steering wheel vs the yoke. Driving in the Dubai can be a bit wild, a lot of people are constantly on their phones and veer out of their lanes, plus a lot of drivers don't seem to know how to use roundabouts so you do need to be on your toes a lot of the time. Plus I hate the horn button, on the new steering wheel the horn is back on the middle.

@marcorandazza Unless she was paying them direct (no company), then she would still owe the company the funds anyway. And even still, the job wasn't done, so now she has a half done roof, and sure as hell no one else is going in there to finish it up now.

@Cyber_Trailer My understanding is that once a dealership owns the car, it loses the fsd. FSD only stays with the car when it goes between private parties.

@Cyber_Trailer I did this as a buyer. I searched nationwide. Looked for cars with it unlisted, and asked to get a photo. Found one priced well under what it should be and nabbed it fast. Totally worth it.
