Hey Poet, Appreciate you raising this. Pricing for crypto taxes is tricky because, as others have mentioned, there are many costs that go into this. Getting access to onchain data to support millions of users is a tricky and expensive endeavor. That being said, I think there are ways of doing this in a more user-friendly manner. There are many actions that cause bloat in user transaction counts and we have historically done a decent job of filtering out the bloat. For example, we have been excluding staking rewards, card rebates, and dust transactions so users don't get unfairly bumped into excessive pricing tiers. Last night we expanded this to treat creator rewards on Base App/Zora/etc. the same, making CoinTracker the only crypto tax solution to cover creator rewards at no additional cost (it's also the only solution that gives creator rewards the right tax treatment). No creator should be unfairly penalized for having their content go viral. The end goal is that no person is ever discouraged from using crypto because of taxes. This includes simplifying the complexities of crypto as much as possible so it's not a stressful experience and making pricing fair. We'll continue to evolve in both areas and appreciate any feedback along the way. 🤝
