This doesn't necessarily do enough justice to how good Spain were tonight. Completely and utterly nullified the most potent attack in this tournament, the level of domination in midfield was extraordinary, and the way they moved the ball in tight spaces under pressure was unreal.

They reason they get called boring is they control games so well there's very rarely any drama against them. They keep the ball, keep you at arms length and it's very difficult to find chinks in the armour, you suffer playing them,

Many will call Spain boring compared to the bells and whistles of France, but running after the ball for minutes at a time, at this stage of the tournament after a long hard European season is tough if you're up against it. Add French forwards inability to keep it when they have it and France have problems to solve.
