@SawyerMerritt @Starlink $21 off per month, x 3 months = $63 discount. Back in March it was $11 off for 6 months = $66 discount.

Interesting that the Residential 100 Mbps plan says it comes with the Router Mini, even though they are giving you a Standard kit. The footnote says, "Starlink may provide an upgraded router" (i.e Standard kit with Gen 3 router). So maybe "Mini X" kit coming to the US soon??

Starlink Residential now starts at just $50/month in the US with the restructured service plans. Free equipment and unlimited data on all plans. Pick your speed: 100 Mbps for $50, 200 Mbps for $80 (no more Lite), 400+ for Max. Max even gives you a free Mini kit for travel.

@mikepat711 @SawyerMerritt Tesla has said many things that didn’t end up being true, and nothing concrete. The most recent info we have from Tesla is that HW3 cars will not be upgraded yet, and instead receive a “Lite” version of FSD V14 sometime in 2026.

@ColbyBaber @SawyerMerritt Their cars will be upgraded. Tesla has said this many times now, but it seems irrelevant how many times they say it. The whiny spoiled children who complain non-stop will always forget what Tesla said after a few days, because they live to whine and mine for pity.

You gotta love California.... The head of the California DMV says Tesla sales in the state are poised to be suspended for 30 days as a penalty for "misleading consumers about Autopilot and FSD capabilities." The agency said the suspension won’t take effect for 90 days to allow Tesla to "come into compliance." 🤦‍♂️

@mikepat711 @SawyerMerritt I assume part of this is from HW3 owners who bought FSD and are now learning their cars will not be upgraded or capable of Unsupervised FSD as advertised. Or Cybertruck owners who will never have Autopilot even though it was a feature listed as included with the truck.

FCC docs for a new Amazon Leo WiFi router shows an output of 56V 1.6A (x2). So 180 watts total to power the antenna on 2 of the Ethernet pairs. No idea why I remember this, but this is the same power supply output as the original Starlink... Wonder if this is the "Pro" router?

The Amazon Leo Ultra antenna appears to require separate power and data connections. On their reveal video posted to YT, you can see a 48V DC power input with an RJ45 data connection below.

@statnomaly It can pair as a mesh node to extend WiFi coverage. Pairs with the Mini via wired or wireless connection. It can also act as the main router by making the wired connection and turning on bypass mode for the integrated router.

@ColbyBaber Does it act like an extender to current starlink mini which already has built in router ? Heard built in router in mini might be getting upgrade which improves speed

So not a Gen 4 router, High Performance router, or even a Gen 3 refresh. It looks like a Starlink Mini Mesh Router is coming soon!

IMO doubtful that this router is made for the upcoming High Performance refresh. The HP kits, even Enterprise, don't come with a router at all because business customers will use their own gear for network management.

New Starlink router! Based on the FCC report, looks like it's still Wifi 6, but it now supports the UNII-4 5.9Ghz band. Better for wireless mesh backhaul, possibly. Maybe this replaces Gen 3 router, which was recently discounted 40% in the shop?

This is the oldest screenshot I have, which should give you a general idea of what it was like back in the day with the original dish. This concludes my trip down memory lane.

When I got my Starlink "Dishy McFlatface" kit 4 years ago, I shot this video of when it first booted up. I thought the motorized dish was so cool! This was way before the YouTube channel and blog. At the time I had no idea how much my life would change because of this thing.

49 Mbps up, highest I've seen from Starlink in 4 years. Uploading to YouTube will be a lot quicker if I can get this kind of performance consistently.

@Starlink might want to check prices in the US shop. $50 for the Ridgeline Mount, normally 6x that. Other weird prices as well, like the Mini Pivot Mount for $10. I have to assume it’s a casualty of the website outage earlier.
