I use MRI in lower back pain 🤭 I also get asked frequently how I manage the scan follow up consults & handle patient Qs So here is a mini-thread which gives a little comms synopsis - some may nod sagely, others may roll their eyes - that’s cool - no right or wrong.

Going to step back from Twitter for an extended period; have decided that the -ives (certain individuals in the main) outweigh the +ives. Sorry to those who feel they gain something from my educational posts - i enjoy teaching. Contact me on my Pure email.

The exercise we do in our middle years has a direct effect on our health in latter life. If lack of access to your usual modes of exercise has made you sedentary during lockdown now is the time to gradually return to physical activity. colchesterphysiotherapy.com/blog/getting-b…

I feel pretty ineffectual during #covid19UK. I’d like to help NHS front line health workers by seeing them for free at my Essex Brentwood Spire clinic (whilst it remains open) with MSk injuries that might otherwise stop them keeping active & mentally fit. DM me please.

A new study has found many *asymptomatic* runners have knee effusions, meniscal tears and cartilage damage. Training for and completing a marathon doesn’t seem to lead to a significant change in symptoms and may even improve some MRI findings ➡️ bmjopensem.bmj.com/content/5/1/e0…
