I watched this entire video to hear both sides of the argument about data centers, and I came away concluding that Tucker is basically a pro-life Bernie Sanders who seems to resent America and capitalism despite being worth $50 million or more. He offered no real arguments against data centers, whereas Kevin was able to clearly articulate why he is concerned about the threat posed by China, including the reality that future wars could be fought with robotics and AI. In Tucker’s opening monologue, he brings up the “Epstein class” and even says he doesn’t care if China surpasses us in AI. Meanwhile, Kevin came across as the adult in the room, making coherent points, while Tucker sounded more like an Occupy Wall Street-era millennial.

Kevin O’Leary says anyone who opposes his dystopian data center is probably working for China. A debate.

I’m a “Ben Shapiro conservative.” I accept that I’m part of a dying generation of conservatives, and I lament it because I know what’s rising in its stead. It’s a radical and revolutionary reactionary force that you helped create through years of demonizing and dispossessing white men. From making them scared and desperate. From trying—and often succeeding—in destroying the most milquetoast of conservatives for daring to question your Woke orthodoxy. I was one of those casualties. It cost me everything as a teacher and I’m still a pariah amongst the Leftist ideologues that run our schools—unemployable in public education. I have every reason to hate people like you—and perhaps if I possessed a different temperament I’d be part of the new revolutionary Right. But I’m not, because I know that the polemic wars of the far Left against the new far Right will do to this country that I love. And I should warn you against reveling in Ben’s diminishing audience, because what is replacing it frightens me, and it should utterly terrify you. You’re going to reap what you sowed, and one day, you’ll pray for the return of conservatives like Ben,
New York Magazine@NYMag

There was a time, not very long ago, when Ben Shapiro could reasonably call himself the king of all conservative media. That’s all over now, writes political columnist Ross Barkan. Shapiro’s company, ‘The Daily Wire,’ is instituting significant layoffs. Its YouTube channel’s subscriber base is starting to shrink, and its website has emerged as one of the great traffic losers in conservative media. There are ‘Daily Wire’ YouTube videos that now, after a few days online, have less than 10,000 views, a catastrophically small number for a channel with more than 3 million subscribers. The top comments all mock the low view counts. “If a variety of poor business decisions can be blamed, in part, for the ‘Daily Wire’’s fall from grace — ill-fated investments in feature films, an epic fantasy series, and peculiar merchandise — the greater story is the collapse of Shapiro’s constituency,” writes Barkan. “There are two realities to Shapiro conservatism in 2026: It retains a significant foothold among Republican elites, and it is fast being rejected by the future grassroots of the party.” Read more: nymag.visitlink.me/KtpIKV

It’s very telling that you are attempting to say the GOP were neocons the entire time. As if that was their default from the beginning . The isolation and non intervention movements were mainly Republicans. The republicans had different priorities before Irving Kristiol came along (who was also a Trotskyist). And slowly took over the party and institutions.

I don’t know if you are ignorant or just dishonest. If you are sticking up for a warmonger like Shapiro. I would guess dishonest. You left out the Paleo conservatives who were the isolationists. Before they got wiped out by the neocons. The older Democratic Party was in office when we entered both world wars.

@ColdStandard88 @CBHeresy You’re demonstrating how ignorant you are. Conservatism has always involved heavy handed international presence. That’s the entire reason the term “neocon” came about — because people defected from the Democrats because Democrats were isolationists.

@TexasJack62 @CBHeresy They are both center right. They are in alignment on foreign policy and liberal policies at home. You literally just described them both. All republicans before Trump with the exception of a few are all neocons. The whole part still is neocon. The last good one was Buchanan.

@ColdStandard88 @CBHeresy You’re using that word to mean “anyone that I don’t like who is right of center”. Neoconservative is a specific term with an actual meaning — they are socially and fiscally liberal but support international military intervention. Bush and Shapiro do not fit that definition.

You must not have watched the interview. Tucker clearly gets Kevin to admit that he cannot articulate what jobs if any Americans will actually get from this. It’s all theoretical and China bad. Kevin only cares about his bottom line. These big business types don’t actually care about the American people.

This interview is so fascinating. You can tell how much Kevin O’Leary despises the idea of China gaining an edge over America in the AI arms race, and Tucker, by comparison, is totally apathetic on that question. He just doesn’t care. America’s place in the world, how much power we wield, how much leverage we exert, is simply not something he considers. He can’t even articulate a reason why AI data centers are bad. They just are. China monopolizing the AI compute market is a nonissue to him. Kevin O’Leary is, naturally, baffled by this. It really illustrates where Tucker’s priorities are: undercut American interests, restrain American power, and usher in a multipolar order by any means necessary.

@garrytan What’s jobs? With how our government works we would never get the damn jobs in the first place even if there are any jobs created. And if somehow jobs are created actual Americans will not get the damn jobs, they will instead go to foreigners.

Sanders and AOC introduced a bill to pause ALL AI data center construction. 300+ local bills filed. Half of planned 2026 data centers facing delays or cancellation. Each one brings billions to local economies. The people who say they want American jobs are trying to block the biggest job creation engine since the interstate highway system.
