Shai Gilgeous-Alexander didn’t just tie Wilt Chamberlain’s 126-game 20-point streak. He joined LeBron James as the only players ever to have 35 points, 15 assists and 0 turnovers. And he swished a stepback game-winner over the Nuggets. ESPN story: espn.com/nba/story/_/id…

One of the most controversial games of last year was Cal-Miami. Cal had a 35-10 lead that ended up a 39-38 Miami comeback, aided both by some true Miami heroics, and the ACC refs rigging the outcome. The controversy led to the ACC’s transparent review process this year. The most controversial play was a textbook targeting from Miami LB Wesley Bissainthe that nearly decapitated Cal QB Fernando Mendoza, for which no flag was thrown, forcing a Cal punt and a Cam Ward game-winner.
Mendoza and Bissainthe will have a rematch in the National Championship next week.
