My thoughts are with the individual who has been taken to hospital following serious injuries, & I hope they make a full recovery. I have spoken with police today & would urge anyone with information about this appalling attack to come forward & assist the investigation.

Today the Scottish Parliament will vote on whether Scotland should have the right to decide her future. Whatever your view on independence, this is a basic democratic principle. Scotland’s future should be up to the people who live here, not politicians at Westminster.
