now that i’ve slept & i have a slightly clearer head lemme just rant for a moment: every year, every single main event cody has had at mania, since returning, the man has managed to be fucked over literally every. single. time. time. the man genuinely cannot catch a break! it should not be this same battle every go around, why do creative/other individuals, always step in and try to sour something that should’ve been amazing, in theory. cody wins the rumble and fucks him over at wm39, then he’s spent doing side quests for a good chunk of the rest of that year. he wins the rumble again, in ‘24, and suddenly the rock shows up and wants a match, so now cody is fucked over at mania AGAIN, and almost snubbed of his moment, until fans let the company know that they don’t want that shit. fast forward to wm41, and it’s almost like a prelude to a repeat of this year: an amazing heel turn and beatdown happens, but then creative fails to follow up to it well enough. while the promos for the feud between cody & cena were pretty decent, things were very much soured by the fact that cena couldn’t show up for the entire build, the rock failed to make well on his appearance after EC, and then we had such a disappointing main event between them, which was even further ruined by the involvement of “travis scott” somehow helping cena get 17. 😐 then we get to this year. beautiful heel turn from randy, could’ve had great promos between the two of them, WWE continuously decides to post moments of their history, fans are EXCITED at the premise of finally getting the promised match of cody rhodes vs randy orton, in the main event of wrestlemania! and again THE INVOLVEMENT OF SOME CELEBRITY NOBODY GIVES A SHIT ABOUT… you had cody miss a whole week, started that stupid ass phone call angle, the two haven’t even gotten to share a single promo together, and now there’s less than 3 weeks left til their match! how do you manage to screw up a feud that had an entire blueprint for what to base it around, literally thrown right in your face ?!?! how do you screw up something both men, especially cody, have been wanting to make happen for FOREVER. idk, i’m just so upset bc why does this always happen to cody lmao ? they love sabotaging his title reigns/title opportunities and any momentum or backing he might’ve had from the fans, in just a single moment, when they go ahead and pull this shit. it’s really frustrating. i’m always gonna be one of cody’s biggest supporters, but gosh, i just want them to let this man have one year where they creative doesn’t fuck him over like this 🫩🫩 how hard is it to give him that… Çevir
