@thesamparr Both the TBPN and Acquired boys have an insane care for craft, design and story. I’ve never met more focused creators than those 2 groups, they make great shows. I think people assume it’s easy to make truly great brands. These guys are the luxury brands of the creator economy.

The replies to the tweet are interesting. This along with the TBPN deal. The thoughts on this topic tends to fall into 2 categories: 1. The angry guys. They want these numbers. They either been grinding for years, nothings really clicking. Been in media for years. Snarky. Or they’re jealous to see things are working for others. They think “they’re taking from me!” “I’ve been doing this for years, these noobs are a joke!” 2. Then there are the happy ones. Excited to see media businesses get love and huge numbers! More for everyone! A lot to learn and exciting to see new stuff. The media industry has always notoriously had a lot of snarky people involved. And 9/10 times those people accomplish very little and are sad angry people. I tried to break into the mainstream media when I was younger. And I’m very happy I wasn’t accepted! Be a number 2 guy!
